- Alpha Capital Family Office, an outsourced family office service, has made several hires and appointments. Maxwell Smith has been tapped as CFO and president, Monika Ruzik-Klatka has been named director of operations, who will lead the firm’s operations, and Zach Zielinski has been named to lead the firm’s asset reporting system,Addepar.
- Financial advisor Jaakko “Jack” Kasko has Cetera Financial Group. Kasko joined Cetera after ten years at Commonwealth Financial Network with his firm, Saint Joseph, MI-based Milestone Wealth Management, where he oversaw $150M in total client assets. Kasko’s practice focuses on retirement and pre-retirement planning.
- Emma Banymandhub has been appointed as CEO of The Payments Association, a nonprofit trade organization. Banymandhub will be responsible for implementing the platform’s model across international markets. Banymandhub previously served as the association’s COO.
- John Mori and Eric Friel have joined Piper Sander as managing directors to lead the distressed debt and special asset group. Mori will be based in Greenwich, and Friel will be based in New York and will both report to head of fixed income Michael Piper. The distressed debt and special asset group will source and trade specialized credit products, including distressed assets, trade and insurance claims, and reorganized equity. Before joining Piper Sander, Mori and Friel served as co-head of distressed debtand Friel was head of high-yield and distressed research, respectively, at Oppenheimer & Co.
- JP Morgan Chase has made key investment banking changes with a new trio of global co-chiefs. The firm’s Investment banking coverage chief Dorothee Blessing, global head of capital markets Kevin Foley, and global co-head of the financial institutions group Jared Kaye will be appointed co-heads of global investment banking.
- Eric Crowley has been tapped as a managing director at Houlihan Lokey for the firm’s global technology group. Crowley, who is based in San Francisco, will focus on consumer subscription software, consumer technology, and ad-tech sectors. Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Crowley led GP Bullhound’s consumer technology practice and played a key role in executing numerous mergers and acquisitions for the firm.
- David Bohm has been tapped as regional VP of United Real Estate Philadelphia, a unit of United Real Estate Group. Bohm will be responsible for expanding agent count while elevating production and strengthening agent business planning. Prior to joining United Real Estate Group, Bohm served as the senior growth consultant for the East Coast region for Coldwell Banker.
- Vanessa Gabela has joined Miami-based private equity firm, Mako Capital Group, as a partner and head of Investor Relations. Gabela will lead the firm’s capital formation and oversee relationships with current and prospective investors. Gabela joins Mako’s co-founders Angel Morales, Pete Amaro, and Oscar Munoz. Prior to joining Mako Capital Group, Gabela previously served as managing director and head of Investor Relations at WM Partners, a private equity firm focused on the health and wellness industry.
- Leif Lindbäck has been named a partner at Pantheon, a private markets firm, in its private equity secondaries team. Lindbäck, who will be based in London, will help execute investments in GP-led opportunities and contribute more broadly across the private equity secondaries platform. Before joining Pantheon, Lindbäck served as co-Head of TMT Europe at CVC Capital Partners.
- Financial advisor Shane Kelly has joined Janney Montgomery Scott as a First VP of wealth management. Kelly was previously affiliated with Oppenheimer & Co, where he managed over $120M in total client assets. Shane, who is based in Darien, Connecticut, also serves as a board member of Connecticut-based Especially Everyone, a nonprofit organization.
- Ameriprise Financial has added Garden City, NY-based Strickoff Financial Services, which is led by Kive Strickoff. Prior to joining Ameriprise, the firm was previously affiliated with Commonwealth Financial Network, where it managed about $140M in total client assets. Strickoff, along with client service associates Rhonda Sossner and Colleen Barbato, has joined Boca Raton, FL-based The Atlantic Group, an Ameriprise practice, which is led by founding partners Andrew Lerner and Logan Shalmi. The team is supported by Ameriprise’s branch manager Drew Granauro, complex director Daniel Landrau, and regional VP Michael Rearden.
- CT Realty, an industrial real estate investment and development firm, has expanded into the investment management business. With the launch of CT Investment Management, the firm has appointed Sandy Ewing as chief capital officer. Prior to joining CT Realty, Ewing most recently served on the capital solutions team at Hunter Point Capital.
- WealthReach, a growth platform for wealth management and RIA firms, has launched Living Sites, a new advisor website. Living Sites is “100% custom and engineered” with technical infrastructure, including optimized headers and schema markup. The platform also scans and refreshes existing pages to prevent performance decay and maintain visibility for readers. Living Sites are powered by Attract, WealthReach’s AI-driven SEO and AEO engine.
- Cary, NC-based Du Lac Wealth Services, a financial advisory firm, has joined Osaic Wealth. The team, which is led by managing director James Mertens, provides wealth management-related services. The team also includes wealth advisors Garrett Railsback and Kerry Goodman, and client experience manager Jaunt’e Smith. Du Lac Wealth Services was previously affiliated with LPL Financial, where they oversaw $200M in total client assets.
- RSM, an assurance, tax, and consulting services provider, has partnered with Allvue Systems, a private capital markets technology provider, to roll out its agentic AI Capital Operating model. The model will play a role in reevaluating how capital is used across private capital firms using agentic AI. Additionally, the model was built through RSM Fund Services+ with the Allvue Agentic AI platform, and the capability is integrated with downstream systems to enable future agentic models across fund operations, investor servicing, portfolio management, and document intelligence.
- Brookfield will be acquiring World Freight Company, an air freight services provider, from PAI and EQT, through its private equity business. WFC, which was founded in 2004, represents airlines to sell and manage cargo capacity while coordinating booking, handling, and shipment oversight. The acquisition is set to close at the end of the year.
- New York Life Investment Management has launched its NYLI International Small-Mid Cap Equity ETF, which is designed to provide investors with access to small- and mid-cap companies. The fund NISM seeks long-term growth of capital by investing in a diversified portfolio of 50 to 100 non-U.S. companies with market capitalizations ranging from $500M to $35B. The fund is managed by New York Life Investment Management with Ausbil Investment Management.
- EquiLend, a Fintech firm, has acquired Finadium, a research and consultancy firm. Following the acquisition, Finadium will operate as an independent subsidiary of EquiLend. Additionally, its research will remain editorially independent, and managing principal Josh Galper will continue overseeing its daily operations. The acquisition expands EquiLend’s access to market intelligence and consultancy capabilities.
- California-based Shannon Ryan Wealth Management Group, which oversees about $400M in total client assets, has joined RBC Wealth Management. Shannon Ryan Wealth Management Group, which is led by Shannon Ryan and includes senior financial associate Robert Lebo, was previously affiliated with Wells Fargo. Ryan, who brings over three decades of industry experience to RBC, offers financial planning services to high-net-worth clients, including corporate executives and business owners.
- Ripple, a blockchain solutions provider, has secured a $200M debt facility from funds managed by Neuberger Specialty Finance. The facility will support the continued growth of Ripple’s prime brokerage platform, Ripple Prime. Ripple Prime, which was acquired by Ripple last year, provides prime services and financing solutions across various traditional and digital markets.
- Roc360, a real estate lending and investment management platform, has gained over $20B in funding. Roc360’s brands have also funded $35B in loans. Roc360 has contributed to more than $6.6B through renovation and new construction financing. Roc360 provides data-driven access to credit through its residential transition loans.
- New York-based Corbin Capital Partners has raised $342M in the closing round for its Corbin Litigation Finance Fund I. The fund focuses on commercial litigation funding opportunities, including business disputes, antitrust matters, mass torts, bankruptcy-related litigation, and intellectual property cases. Fund I has already deployed capital into 26 investments and is expected to become fully deployed over the next 18 to 24 months, according to Corbin.
- Antares Capital has raised $8.5B in the closing round for its third Senior Loan Fund, SLF III, and related strategy vehicles. The capital will go towards expanding Antares Capital’s private credit platform. Additionally, SLF III focuses on building diversified portfolios primarily composed of senior secured loans across U.S. and Canadian borrowers.
