The Producer Price Index for final demand rose 0.5% in December, seasonally adjusted, according to delayed data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The increase followed more modest gains of 0.2% in November and 0.1% in October, signaling renewed upward pressure at the wholesale level.  Year-over-year, final demand prices rose 3.0% in 2025, easing slightly from a 3.5% increase in 2024.
