- Patrick Sweeney and John Palmer have joined Dallas-based Prospera Financial Services, a wealth management firm. Sweeney, based in Pennsylvania, is the president and wealth advisor at Chartiers Capital Group. Palmer, based in New York, is the founder of Palmer Financial. The advisors bring a combined $75M in total client assets to Prospera.
- Tony Unkel has been appointed as director of Partnerships at IRA Financial. In the newly created role, Unkel will lead the firm’s new business-to-business growth channel, which is designed to serve RIAs, capital raisers, family offices, real estate syndicators, and alternative investment platforms. Before joining IRA Financial, he served as business development manager at The Entrust Group.
- Paul Vanderslice has been named CEO and president of The CRE Finance Council. Vanderslice will lead CREFC’s efforts, including its market intelligence, education, industry standards, member engagement, and events. He will assume his position on September 30. Prior to joining CREFC, Vanderslice most recently served as head of CMBS at BMO Capital Markets.
- Jeremy Goldberg has joined Nashville-based Covenant Capital Group, a real estate investment manager as CIO and managing director. Goldberg will lead the Capital Markets & Transactions team, overseeing lender relationships, execution of property purchases, refinancings, and dispositions, and debt strategies. Additionally, he will serve as a member of Covenant’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining Covenant, Goldberg served as a managing director at StepStone Group, a private markets firm.
- Greg Pearson has been tapped as CIO of Outpost, a national truck terminal and automation company. Pearson will be responsible for leading the company’s real estate investment strategy, acquisition of logistics infrastructure, and leasing efforts. Prior to joining Outpost, Pearson was managing director at Fortress Investment Group, where he launched the firm’s industrial real estate business across North America and Europe.
- Katie Cullen has been tapped as chief growth and integration officer, and Sarah Green as chief risk and compliance officer at Beacon Pointe Advisors. The duo will be responsible for bolstering the firm’s risk, compliance, and regulatory guardrails. Prior to joining Beacon Pointe, Cullen led financial services executives and growth-focused advisors on strategy, business performance, and leadership development at BlackRock Business Consulting. Before joining Beacon Pointe, she served as head of Financial Crimes and Code of Conduct at Vanguard.
- James “Jim” McGovern has joined Iron Road Partners, a regulatory consulting firm, as managing director. Prior to joining Iron Road Partners, McGovern most recently served as an Assistant Director in the Asset Management unit at the SEC’s Division of Enforcement.
- NewEdge Capital Group has added a team of four wealth managers to its Florida location for its RIA NewEdge Wealth. Advisors Paul Yates, Alexandra Escobedo, Trace Shapiro, and Michael Wohlgemuth have joined NewEdge Wealth’s office in Fort Lauderdale. The team provides wealth management services to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and professional athletes. Prior to joining NewEdge, Yates held various roles at Bank of America in its Private Bank division. Prior to joining NewEdge, Escobedo also held roles at Bank of America’s Private Banking division. Meanwhile, Shapiro and Wohlgemuth held roles at Franklin Templeton Investments and Trade Station.
- Financial advisor Howard Matson has been named first VP of Wealth Management at Janney Montgomery Scott. Matson is based at the firm’s office in Fairfield, Connecticut. Prior to joining Janney, Matson was at Wells Fargo, where he managed more than $160M in client assets.
- Aptus Capital Advisors has expanded leadership roles across its firm to scale its options-based ETF and custom overlay businesses. Joshua Lucas has been named head of Digital Strategy. He previously served as COO at Scalio, a digital product studio. Tom Winkler has been named head of Wealth and Client Solutions, and John Davenport has been named head of Client Specialists, where he will lead the Aptus Consulting team.
- Hemang Bhojani has been appointed head of Wealth Solutions, and Thomas Moore has been appointed head of Wealth Go-to-Market at Avantos, an AI-native fintech platform. Bhojani will lead the development and expansion of Avantos’ wealth solutions, with a focus on helping firms promote growth through AI-powered client intelligence and deeper engagement across wealth, retirement, and insurance. Moore will lead the go-to-market strategy and strategic partnerships for the company’s wealth business. Before joining Avantos, Bhojani led the Path to Advice program at Morgan Stanley. Prior to joining Avantos, Moore led B2B partnerships and sales at Betterment, a wealth and savings platform.
- Ellen Conti has joined GoldenTree Asset Management as CFO and partner. Conti will oversee the firm’s Finance division, including accounting and tax, and will report to GoldenTree’s CEO Kathy Sutherland. Before joining GoldenTree, Conti most recently served as CFO and executive managing director at Sculptor Capital and was a member of the firm’s Partner Management Committee.
- Megan Hannah has been appointed chief client experience officer, and Ian Curtiss has been promoted to lead the Wealth Strategy group at Coldstream. Hannah will work across planning, investment strategy, and client service. Prior to joining Coldstream, Hannah served as COO and portfolio manager at Seattle-based RIA Emerald Advisors. Anne Marie Stonich, who helped build Coldstream’s Wealth Strategy group, will remain a leader at the firm. She will serve as co-chief client experience officer with Hannah through the end of the year.
- PPB Capital Partners, a private markets investment provider, has made two leadership appointments. Olivia Eisinger has been named chief growth officer, while Anthony “Tony” Wilson has been named head of Strategic Partnerships. Both executives will report to PPB Capital Partners’ vice chairman Bob Oros. Eisinger will oversee the Advisor Relations team. Before joining PPB Capital Partners, Eisinger led the client strategy and transformation team at Apex Fintech Solutions. Wilson will be managing PPB’s relationships with custodians, RIAs, banks, and trust companies, and IBDs. Before PPB, Wilson was at iCapital, where he focused on growing its RIA aggregator business.
- Robert Rdzak has been named managing director of Consultant Relations at Churchill Asset Management and Arcmont Asset Management. In the newly created role, he will lead engagement with institutional investment consultants across North America. Additionally, Rdzak will partner with the Nuveen Consultant Relations and Institutional Distribution teams, to expand access to NPC’s private credit and private equity capabilities among institutional consulting firms and their clients and will be based in Churchill’s New York City headquarters and report jointly to Michael Foley and David Burnside, co-Heads of NPC Business Development. Before joining Churchill Asset Management, he most recently served as managing director at Barings.
- Financial Advisors Richard Horn, Jeffrey Deckelbaum, and Gerald Horn have joined UBS in Bethesda, Maryland. The Horns and Deckelbaum have all joined UBS’ South Atlantic Market, which is led by Market Executive Jake Shine and is part of the firm’s Southeast Region, led by Regional Director Julie Fox. They will be reporting to Shine and were previously affiliated with Morgan Stanley.
- Transamerica Asset Management has expanded its partnership with Great Lakes Advisors to launch a Large Cap Value strategy. The strategy provides investors with access to intermediary channels while broadening managed account offerings for advisors and their clients through Transamerica. The strategy is available through unified managed accounts and separately managed accounts, and through firms and platforms, including LPL Financial, Charles Schwab, Morgan Stanley, and Envestnet.
- VanEck has launched the VanEck MSCI EM Analyst Sentiment ETF, which allows investors access to emerging market equities using MSCI’s proprietary analyst sentiment factor. The new ETF comes shortly after VanEck launched the VanEck MSCI EAFE Analyst Sentiment ETF.
- Chime, the digital banking platform, has acquired Stride Bank in an all-cash deal valued at $590M. Following the closing of the acquisition, Stride will become Chime Bank and operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Chime. Additionally, Chime will consolidate its banking activities at Stride, which will focus primarily on supporting Chime’s consumer business. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of next year.
- Navar Capital has launched its investment management platform, powered by its proprietary Quant-Real-Intelligence framework, and introduced the Navar Capital Income and Navar Capital Growth Funds. The funds are available exclusively to verified accredited investors. The Navar Capital Income Fund is designed for investors seeking income together with long-term capital and the Navar Capital Growth Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation through an actively managed portfolio.
- Northern Trust Asset Management has launched the Northern Institutional Funds Stablecoin Cash Reserves Portfolio. The portfolio is designed to support stablecoin issuers’ cash reserve needs. Additionally, the fund is structured to hold reserves for stablecoins and invests in U.S. Treasury securities and Treasury.
- RIA Savvy Wealth has raised $100M in its Series C funding round led by Halo Fund, a growth-stage venture firm. The oversubscribed fund had participation from existing investors, including Thrive Capital, Industry Ventures from Goldman Sachs, Canvas Prime, Index Ventures, House Fund, Euclidean Capital, Alumni Ventures, and Vestigo Ventures. This latest capital round boosts Savvy Wealth’s AUM to over $200M in funding. The firm now oversees $9B in AUM.
- Quickcode.ai, a trade compliance platform that has raised a total of $3.1M across multiple funding rounds to accelerate the growth of its automated global trade data and customs classification technology. The platform modernizes supply chain workflows and product catalog management for manufacturers, importers, and customs brokers.
- Apogem Capital, a private markets investor, has raised $580M in the closing round of its Apogem Private Equity Fund XI. Employees also committed an additional $17M, boosting the total committed capital to $597M. The fund will continue to provide access to opportunities in the lower middle market.
